Home Good Online Coupons!

A good friend of mine is WAAAAAY into the whole super couponing thing. Frankly I just don't have the time to worry about coupons - especially if it requires a lot of driving around and shopping at multiple stores. I am ALL about convenience. I mean, I run a business and I have kids - I am busy!

But, I do love a good bargain, who doesn't? So, how do I combine convenience with coupons?

ONLINE SHOPPING!

There are many benefits to shopping online - the convenience, the reviews, the opportunity to easily compare pricing.... and websites that offer free coupons!

FREE TIP:

Before you go buying ANYTHING online, you should search the web for discounts and coupons. For example, you might be on JCPenny.com or Kholes.com or some other online store and you have found just what you are looking for! YAY! Before hitting "buy now" though, why not search the web for a coupon? OR, you can visit a coupon site that you know often provides special offers for the items you are looking for!

The other day I stumbled upon this home goods online store and found a few sweet deals... Then, I bookmarked the site so I can revisit it again when I am looking to make another purchase for my home.

So, now you know. Couponing can be done ONLINE too! All you have to do is search and bam, discounts and instant savings on something you were going to by anyways!

What is your favorite online home goods store? Do you have a favorite home goods coupon site? Share in the comments!

Using Words as Art for Your Home

I am loving this site: http://decor8blog.com/

This style of home decor makes me smile:

Words are such a big part of every day life, why not turn them into wall art? Funny sayings, inspirational quotes, family rules, reminders... what a great way to add a bit of whimsy to your home.

What do you have for art in your home?

Using Color in your Home

I am surprised when I visit someone's home for the first time how often I see neutral colors only. People who are colorful in the way they dress and act, seem to be overly conservative in their home decor. Are they worried too much color will overwhelm the house? Are they thinking it's better to stay neutral with the paint and liven things up with pops of color in the decor?

I personally think that all of these tan and brown houses are kinda getting boring....

*yawn*

If you are scared about color, try an accent wall. Have fun with prints in your rugs and furniture. At very least bring in a few colorful throw pillows PLEASE!

I think this room is a good representation of bringing some life and color into a neutral space:
